Now, he's making a comeback in an untitled project.
The U.S. network NBC offered the star an unprecedented 22 episode deal for the comedy series which co-stars Breaking Bad's Betsy Brandt as Michael's wife and Easy A star Juliette Goglia as his daughter.

The single-camera comedy is loosely based around the actor's real life and his battle with Parkinson's.
He will play father of three Mike Burnaby for a former lead anchor at a local station in New York City who decides to go back to work after Parkinson's forced him to take time off.
The comedy is expected to air this autumn.
